I love My Fair Wedding and as a not girly girl that is saying something!I have never been the type to look at wedding magazines or even think and make plans about my wedding, but I know I do want to get married one day and I want it to magnificent, magical and memorable. I have no idea how to make this happen though, ha ha ha.After watching the "behind the scenes" of My Fair Wedding, unveiled, I made my first decision about my wedding - I have to have David Tutera be my wedding planner, I need him to help me when the time comes because I will need it and he is a wonder at making dreams come true and then surpassing them!I had to buy this book because I wanted to have the first step in the process set in motion - even before having a prospective husband, lol.Great read, good pictures (if you watch the show you will see familiar faces), and wonderful tips!Thank you David!!! I was a bit disappointed by this book. I was hoping that it would give lists of choices, ideas, selections, etc to creating your own expensive-looking wedding. It just goes over previously done weddings that were displayed on the TV Show, "My Fair Wedding with David Tutera". I think it's nice that he highlights what was done and brides reactions to his creations but it wasn't what I was hoping for in this book. Nice outline of previously done weddings? Yes. Chock full of ideas for your own wedding? Eh, not so much. I'm disappointed by this book. Don't waste your money on this for idea choices for your own special day.
First off, I am a huge fan of the show My Fair Wedding, and was super excited when I saw this book. The book is very insightful and does a good job of mixing a review of the specific episodes and peppering in ways to make your own wedding super special. I really love the fact that they put in so many different pictures from each event. Specifically close up versions of things we only glimpsed in the show.My one and only complaint was that it didnt cover every episode of the show but I can make due with the few that it did! I just wish that it had included my favorite bride "Candy Bride"! Her's was truly the best of them all!
This book brings up so many aspects to planning your own wedding that easily slip the mind. It has made planning MY wedding so much 'easier' not that it is an easy thing to do... It covers EVERYTHING and so far I haven't run into anything that's not mentioned. My wedding isn't until October 2012 but I feel very well prepared in more than just the planning area because of this book and David's ideas. It helps you understand the kind of bride you are and the kind you want to be and how to carry it out gracefully. So far, it's been a life saver!
I love, love, love David Tutera. His television show "My Fair Wedding" is often tender and sometimes funny. Often I find myself cracking up laughing when the bride describes her dream wedding to David and it is obvious that he thinks it is tacky, tacky, tacky.Planning my daughter's wedding has been a joy with help from this book and David's TV show. My major complaint about this book is that there are not more photos.
Gorgeous book. David Tutera certainly knows his weddings, and party planning. He covers everything and so tastefully and creatively. David is the best of the the best. The book is recommended for every bride to be. I bought it for my daughter who is having her wedding in March 2012 and the book sure has helped my daughter in her planning. Thank you David. You are 'da bomb'.
The book came in great condition and it was exactly what I thought it would be. I love the price I paid for the book. I will continue to purchase books from Amazon.my fair Wedding by David Tutera is the best book I've read about wedding planning thus far. I will recommend it to other wedding planners I meet.Before I purchased the book I wanted to know what David was like and how much information he put into his planning of weddings.Now that I've read the book and looked at all the great pictures I am so excited about using some of the ideas I read about in the book. After reading this book, I have been drawn to find the TV show that David Tutera has. I was amazed to see the show and it made me feel like I was there in person with him as he met with all the brides.
I am a huge fan of David Tutera and have been following his show "My Fair Wedding" from the beginning. This book features wonderful photography of some of the memorable weddings featured on the show along with fun information about each wedding and tips and advice from David. This book is very useful if you need inspiration for your cake, floweers or decor. It is also good if you were particularly impressed with one of the featured weddings because it offers close up photography, quick summaries and useful tips.This book is not as invaluble to me as David Tutera's "Big White Book of Weddings" but I am so glad I own it for the photos of the decor and flowers. Additionally, it has helped my fiance and me communicate about some of our ideas, likes and dislikes. And the fact that this book has helped us to work better together has made planning our wedding day less stressful for both of us is! I definitely recommend this product!
