Is there a plot? After 10% read, I give up. So much angst, self pity & repetitive self dialog amounting "I am not good enough, poor poor me." Where is the mystery, police drama? The battered victim is no where near central to the story, it is all about Jasmine Steelers BORING self talk.Waste of money & more important, time that could have been spent reading a good nook.
The story was great, but the editing was so poor it made it difficult to read. I liked the characters and the storyline. They were realistic and warm. The typos and left out words or words that were wrongly placed in the sentence, just made the whole book a disaster instead of a masterpiece. I would not recommend the book in this format. I gave it one star for the editing.
I read all 3 of the Jasmine Steele Mystery Books. These were very well written. Her descriptions are not too wordy. You can see what she is telling you that is going on in that particular moment. They kept me up reading two different evenings. Well worth it. Loved the way the trilogy ended. Written as if more books could be coming. I hope so!!
Well written, fun and hard to put down. The characters are so believable and I loved being friends with them. Easy to be part of their lives love in each of them and being worried for their safety. Excellent read!
Great job getting police work and personal life together. Glad I had all three books to read at one time.
A bit more physical encounters than I enjoy but a wonderful set of stories. The characters are wonderful and I love the introduction of a real couple of strong women making a family work.
I could only get about 20% through book one because of all the spelling and grammatical errors. It would appear it was never proof read. As a college-educated daughter of an english teacher, the errors were too distracting. The story was also developing very slowly. It felt repetitious. I kept waiting for the story to go somewhere, but it was just the lead character reliving all of her sadness. I would send it back to the editor.
First, I very rarely give a 5 stars rating but this author earned every one of them. Suspend your judgements and ride the emotional, often frustrating ups, downs, insides, outsides, twists and turns of this legal based series. There are some surprises, some touching words, mysteries all to challenge the reader to guess or conclude the outcome. Hope you enjoy as much as I did.
