The plot is really good. A young woman being sexually assaulted gets saved by a handsome stranger who ends up doing jail time for assaulting her attacker. They fall in love and live happily ever after, eventually. What didn't work for me were the many typo errors. To many misspelled words. I rolled my eyes BIG TIME when Lizzie told Rocco, "I'm a woman now" after they had sex for the first time. Puhlease. Who the hell even says that??? The last thing that bugged me was that she called him "Daddy" in the bedroom. Ew, ladies just don't.
4 StarsI haven't read a book from this author duo in a while. Matter of fact, I can't remember which book of theirs I read last. For no other reason than my lack of time is the culprit. That said, I enjoyed Locked Up Love very much. Just as I remembered the style of writing by this author duo, I felt right at home. It was fast paced, sexy and delightfully over-the-top as is usual with their alpha heroes.Before they could even develop a natural relationship, Rocco is sent off to jail. I won't go into details because you'll want to read this on your own. Regardless of the fact they barely knew each other, in addition to the fact that he was in prison, Rocco and Lizzy managed to connect on an intense level. These two were made for each other before they even had the chance to officially meet. While in prison, these two managed to grow a relationship that started with writing letters. That relationship was strong, bonded in love and yes, protectiveness and possessiveness; another Alexa Riley trademark.So, again, no more details from me. I will say that I enjoyed this book and am very happy to have read Rocco and Lizzy's story. While it was over-the-top instalove, it was also sweet and endearing.This is my honest and unbiased review. Thank you taking the time to read it. :)
Lizzy goes on a blind date turned nightmare, and she is rescued by Rocco. Rocco’s heroic act lands him in jail, though, because the family of the prick who attempted to assault Lizzy had the judge in their pocket.What I loved about Locked Up Love is the fact that the tandem Alexa Riley slightly veered away from their insta-gooey short stories (Although those I devour, too!) and somewhat went with a realistic one.Guy goes to prison for defending someone, check! Girl does her best to get him out of prison, check! Exchanging letters? Swooning here!So go ahead, you know you want to meet Rocco and Lizzy!
I absolutely loved reading my arc copy of Locked up love byAlexa Riley. These ladies are writing geniuses. Im always blownaway with their work and this time was no different. This bookwas full of instant love, amazing alpha and a insanely sweet girl.This is a definite must read that would be a shame to miss out onreading.
I've read all of A. R. books and have loved almost all of them (although I do tend to prefer the full length ones). Unfortunately this book just didn't fulfill the expectation. There was so much potential here for a really great story but it just missed the mark. Even with the shorter A. R. books you usually still get a good amount of detail and have a good grip on the (admittedly fast) timeline. This one was a little confusing on that. I couldn't grasp how long he was in prison, I think the story indicated that it was a month or two but by the other things happening it seemed longer? This is probably my least favorite A. R. book so far.1 star = awful! want my money back!2 stars = bad but not horrendous3 stars = decent/good4 stars = really good! will probably read again.5 stars = excellent! definitely recommend and will definitely read again!
I have to be honest and tell you I bought this book only because I loved the cover. It is very rare to find a "plus size" model on a cover, let alone a romance cover. I hate to say it but yes authors may write about a plus size woman but they very rarely have one on their cover. So kudos to Alexa!Now on to the book. I love the forbidden and you have to say that this one was one of them. Lizzy finds her self in a bad situation with her new roommate's brother, when a stranger comes to her rescue she has little choice but to take it.Rocco has a history of being in the worst place at the worst time. When Rocco hears a woman's screams he knows he has to help her. Little did he know he just beat the crap out of a son with a father high up in the courts. So off to prison Rocco goes.Will these two ever meet again? I loved this story and how Alexa wrote this sweet story!
Rocco saved Lizzy from being raped by her roommate's brother Gabe, and end up in prison for it. Something monumental happened that night for both of them but because of the situation they find themselves in, they have not had the time necessary to acknowledge it. Lizzy will not give up her crusade to get Rocco out of prison because the price he has to pay in no way fits the crime. The more she fights on his behalf is the more her life is being threatened and Rocco is doing everything possible to keep her safe while he is in prison.Their new found relationship is flourishing even with the bad head start they had. The both of them are hanging on to each other through their letters and imagination of what could be between them. Can their relationship survive the separation and life behind bars?
I simply adore reading Alexa Riley books ! She is my #1 kindle autobuy author so needless to say I was excitingly waiting for Locked Up Love to be released. I bought it immediately and read it within an hour. It has become my favorite Alexa Riley book ! The characters were simply amazing , far fetched yet believable at the same time.So if your into quick , hot romances with a guaranteed HEA then this is a must for you !
